HandBrake – Presets for particular target devices One of the nice things of HandBrake is the ability to work with presets, you will see them on the right. In this article you’ll find more details on how to fine-tune/tweak the settings.įirst, since we want to create an MP4 or MKV: Select the desired “ Format“. For your first DVD, you’d want to try the default settings as they are already pretty good, but you can fine tune the settings if you’d like. When ripping a DVD we basically convert (transcode) the DVD movie to a different file format and for this we will need to do a few settings. Keep in mind that the resulting file size for a normal movie is in the 1 -2 Gb size – make sure the destination drive has enough space available! You can change the location and filename as you see fit. Typically HandBrake will take a default location, like your desktop, and name the file based on what it found on the DVD (which can be a random guess). HandBrake – Select the movie to rip Step 4: DVD Conversion settings – Videoįirst we can set the destination of the result file. Most Linux distributions, like Ubuntu, come with some sorts of package management tool, where APT is probably one of the most popular ones. To install HandBrake for Ubuntu (11+) open a shell and type: When using HandBrake, we have all we need in one application, for proper working though we need a few extras, libdvdcss being one of them (to decrypt a DVD). Drink a cup of coffee and eat a cookie – a.k.a.Click preferred “ Preset” – possibly fine tune settings.Open the “ Source” in HandBrake (the DVD).Install codecs and libdvdcss (see below). For the impatient: the short version …įor those that are impatient and more experienced, you can follow the following steps quickly.įor beginners I recommend to continue reading the following paragraphs which explain a little bit more about what’s happening. Note : Copying a DVD is commonly referred to as “ripping” a DVD. It can convert most common video files to MP4 or MKV with ease. HandBrake also accepts other video sources than just a DVD – including other video files! MKV on the other hand, although seemingly superior, is not (yet) as popular, but HandBrake supports MKV as well. Here MP4 is the most commonly used format (together with AVI). For example: XBMC box, Tablet PC, iPod/iPad, smartphone, media player in your car, or other media playback capable device. The purpose of the files we are about to make will be mainly playback on your computer or other device capable of playback of these kind of files. These particular file types can hold multiple video, audio, and subtitle parts or so called streams.įor example videos in different angles, audio in different languages and qualities (Dolby Surround, Dolby AC3, regular stereo, etc), or subtitles in different languages or types (Closed Caption versus regular subtitles). So you might wonder what MP4 (or M4V) and MKV stand for?īoth are file types in this case they are so called containers that can contain multiple parts which can be video, audio, subtitles, etc. Other countries, like The Netherlands, are more liberal when it comes to this – Consumers pay a few cents extra for empty media, and for personal use you are allowed to make a copy (see Stichting Thuiskopie). But it’s all a matter of interpretation – so think for yourself before you act! Fair use proponents however claim that the law leaves room for making a private backup (in the US: DMCA or Digital Millenium Copyright Act). The movie industry in general does not want you to copy a DVD for any reason. Laws, when it comes to copying Copyrighted materials, differ from country to country. It is your responsibility to be aware of these laws and comply to them. See also our Disclaimer! This article is not intended to promote pirating Copyrighted Materials!

As the bloodthirsty and self-obsessed Patrick Bateman, Bale is regularly shirtless while doing hundreds of sit-ups, delicately applying a face mask, basking in a tanning bed, and staring at himself while sleeping with an escort. He also bulked up significantly to play the overweight former Vice President Dick Cheney in Vice.īy far, Bale's most famous - and creepiest - unclothed performance can be found in American Psycho. Flatbottoms are known for their long lean shape, which allows the boat to slice through water as they move at speeds of 100+ MPH. Inboard Runabouts, or flatbottoms, come in both the open cockpit and capsule variety. Nobody plans to flip, but it does happen from time to time… and when it does happen, the training pays off. Drivers who race inboards with an enclosed cockpit (capsule) are required to pass APBA capsule training and certification every two years. All inboard drivers are required to wear a racing helmet and life jacket as well as other protective gear such as fire-resistant Nomex and cut resistant Kevlar. You can tell a boat’s class by the letter(s) next to the boat number. Inboard racing classes consist of both Runabout and Hydroplane classes. Inboard racing requires an unmatched level of teamwork and professionalism, as well as a family atmosphere with life long bonds between owners, drivers and crew members and that is exactly what powerboat racing is all about. The minimum age for racing in this exciting category ranges from 14 to 21. Classes span from wild Jersey Speed Skiffs (70mph) to supercharged 1,500 horsepower Grand Prix Hydroplanes (170 MPH). As the largest category in the APBA, Inboard racing classes include both runabouts and hydroplanes that are fast, fun and LOUD. When you hear the roar of automotive engines and catch a glimpse of giant roostertails, chances are pretty good that inboards are on the water. Next, perform controlled ventilation using a face mask with 100%oxygen until the patient begins breathing spontaneously.įinally, using EEG, measure ictal regularity, seizure time, and greater post-ictal suppression. After the patient's eyes are opened by an examiner, press the device button and measure maximum resting pupil size or minimum pupil size after stimulation. Then, immediately after electrical stimulation, hold the automated infrared pupillometer over one of the patient's eyes. After anesthetizing the patient, begin the electroconvulsive therapy or ECT procedure by using an ECT instrument set at an initial electrical stimulus dose percentage at half the value of the patient's age. Lastly, attach two electromyogram sensors to the left anterior tibial muscle with a distance of five centimeters to measure generalized seizure time in the lower leg. Next, prepare a tourniquet and belt it at the left thigh. Then, attach the electrocardiogram or ECG monitors at the base of the heart and cardiac apex and monitor heart rate. Clean bilateral temples with normal saline and then attach adhesive electrical stimulation pads to the bilateral temples to prevent interference in the stimulation due to hair. Next, attach electroencephalogram or EEG monitors at four symmetrical points. Begin by cleaning the right and left forehead and the area behind the ears with an alcohol cotton swab. Additionally, the white light used for measuring light reflexes is not overly bright and harmful for patients. Pupillary response measurement using an automated infrared pupillometer can be conducted in a simple, precise, and objective way and not be affected by anesthetic agents or anti-hypertensive drugs. This proposed method might be particularly useful for patients who have been administered anti-hypertensive drugs during ECT. On the other hand, pupillary responses can reflect sympathetic nervous activity or the degree of brain damage. The efficacy of ECT, electroconvulsive therapy, has been evaluated based on electroencephalography and increases in BP or HR, however, an increasing number of patient have adapted to ECT and rates of cardiovascular disease are increasing. Solution architecture in the context of the enterprise and technical architecture What is an enterprise architect?Įnterprise architecture, which we covered in a dedicated article, focuses on building complex enterprise ecosystems and solves high-level strategic issues. The only thing you have to do is get the hell out of its way, and leave him alone. They are not very common, and through an entire gameplay, you find like 0-3 Tyrannosaurus, most of them at the distance, hunting ornithomimids, Pachycephalosaurus and Anatosaurus. Tyrannosaurus (I usually don't care about them. Through an entire gameplay, I must have killed from 2-8 ornithomimids. Another strategy, if that doesn't work, is biting one, and it will turn its back and attempt to attack you, and then you just have to jump onto its back. The best way to catch a ornithomimid is by literally jumping to a flock of them, and you'll eventually fall in the back of one. I prefer starting to hunt them when I'm like 5 years old, when I am nearly an adult. Ornithomimids either don't care about you or frenetically run away from you. Even though you can die as a youngster, because they trample you, once you reach adult stage, they are the sweetest of big game. Ornithomimid (God bless the ornithomimid. If you're good in catching them, use them as a food supply as hatchling and juvenile, you may very well forget them as subadult and adult) I can only remember one time I caught one of these before it flies away from my reach. I am very bad at aiming at small things and, once this is the smallest animal in the game, I am unable to catch these flutterers alive, unless they are bugged, and forget to fly away. These are animals I also don't care that much. Killing an Acheroraptor as an adult is pointless, because they don't even run away from you for a long time)ĭePalma's Ornithuran (aka bird. Easy peasy! Subadult is also done in a simillar fashion, but if you're a very fresh subadult, try not letting the Acheroraptor bite you, or you'll easily loose half of your life in one bite. As a juvenile I actually lure them to me, often biting them is enough, and then I jump only to land on their back. I would prefer not biting them on the ground (it looses all the hype). They are predators for hatchlings, but once you're a juvenile or a subadult they can be reliable prey. Dakotaraptors older than you are to be avoidable, but usually just keeping an eye on them and running away from them solves everyone's problems)Īcheroraptor (I died very few times to these guys, the only ones I can recall is when I wasn't paying attention when hunting one as a juvenile. I usually avoid Dakotaraptors of the same age as I am, unless I am really hungry, but until now I haven't really had no major issues when approaching them, and killing other Dakotaraptors of the same age as me is a good challenge. Hatchlings are the saddest because they don't even react to the attack, they just die. You can easily kill any Dakotaraptor younger than you, by just giving them like one to three bites and they die in a emotionless manner. Once you're independent, Dakotaraptor are fairly easy to handle. Anyway, I keep myself hydrated and fed if my parents end up not helping at all, which most of the times its what happens. I am the guy who sistematically follows his parents to make sure they will do something that makes sense for ONCE. Here's the list of animals in the game and what do I do with them:ĭakotaraptor (I cannot recall one single moment where I was killed by a Dakotaraptor at any life stage. Due to my somewhat rich gameplay I decided to give a little bit of what my experiences and my choices through the game influence the life of my Dakotaraptor. So I've been playing Saurian recently, and I am enjoying it. You'll love it!.Ĭapital In Ground Trampolines are by far the highest specification sunken trampoline on the market and we are constantly making improvements to the design as new technologies become available. It's much easier to just walk onto the trampoline. Climbing up a small ladder and through a small zip can be somewhat off-putting for an adult. In-ground trampolines eliminate the possibility of damage occurring because your trampoline cannot be blown away in high winds. In ground trampolines cost less to maintain if you do not have a net which is the most frequently required and costly replacement part. Trapped air escapes silently through the pads. Ingrounds are less noisy because the frame (which can squeak) is buried underground and the retaining wall keeps the frame very rigid. This does not occur on an in ground trampoline resulting in a better quality bounce. On a traditional trampoline energy can be dissipated as the frame moves a little when you bounce. The trampoline frame is buried firmly in the ground allowing no movement of the frame. An inground allows parents and children to interact more - mom and dad can stay in close contact at all times.īetter bounce. Young kids sometimes get frightened being zipped inside a net away from their mom or dad. Parents need not supervise as much as issues of 'getting on' and 'getting off' the trampoline are removed. There's no net or platform to interfere with their enjoyment. Kids can run on and off the trampoline at will and play many more creative games. This is not a problem with inground trampolines as their lower profile makes them less obvious, or indeed hard to spot at all - they easily blend in with the surrounding landscape.įreedom to play, more fun. For those conscious about the presentation and look of their backyard, this is a significant drawback. Above ground trampolines take up a significant amount of space and are immediately visible in a garden. They look amazing! In ground trampolines are designed to work with your garden design unlike traditional trampolines which can be an eye-sore in a garden. These risks are negated with an in ground trampoline. Statistically, most serious trampoline accidents happen when children fall through an open zip/damaged net or fall off while climbing up the ladder to access the trampoline. There's no worrying about young children falling off the ladder or remembering to zip themselves in. Parents have peace of mind when they let their kids loose on an in ground trampoline. In ground trampolines are generally safer than normal trampolines because they're flush-to-the-ground not raised above the ground accessed by a ladder. You can then go back to the editor and check what the themes you’ve installed look like. To explore them, go to Settings | Plugins and search for theme in the Marketplace tab. PhpStorm comes with only a few predefined themes, but there’s a variety of custom options to choose from. You can change the UI in Settings | Appearance & Behavior | New UI. For the best experience with these themes, we recommend using the old UI. Please note that not all custom themes are fully compatible with the new UI. PhpStorm has extended support for many projects of the diverse PHP ecosystem, including WordPress, Joomla!, Symfony, Laravel, and more.įor more advanced support and extra features, you can check out framework-specific plugins from the community: You can find more plugins at JetBrains Marketplace. You can find some tips on how to customize PhpStorm in this video: You can customize almost any aspect of the PhpStorm UI and turn off anything you don’t need. One of the key differences between PhpStorm and VS Code is that you don’t need to install extensions to make PhpStorm powerful. Use the PhpStorm shortcut cheat sheet – You can download the default PhpStorm keymap reference and print it out as a card. When you use the mouse on a button inside the IDE, Key Promoter X shows you the shortcut you could have used instead. Install Key Promoter X – this extension helps you learn essential shortcuts while working. You can use it to find any file, action, class, or symbol, and see all the matches in one place. Memorize PhpStorm’s most universal shortcut – double Shift or Search Everywhere. Here’s what can help you learn them faster: Learning PhpStorm shortcuts will come in handy even if you decide to switch to another JetBrains IDE later on – the shortcuts are the same in almost all of them. Once you've installed the keymap, you can go to Settings | Keymap and set it as the default one. Go to Preferences / Settings | Plugins and look for VS Code there. To do so, go to Settings | Keymap, set VSCode or VSCode (macOS) as your default keymap, and save the changes.įor PhpStorm 2022.1 and older, you need to install the VS Code keymap. If you aren’t ready to say goodbye to VS Code shortcuts just yet, you can switch to the VS Code keymap. Here are a few tips that can help you with that. If you’ve never used PhpStorm or other JetBrains IDEs before, getting used to new shortcuts can be challenging. My main concern was always about the shuttles on the way back especially since I have always landed at around 1 or 2 AM but- after calling them and requesting a shuttle- I am happy to say that the longest period of time I needed to wait for the shuttle on the way back was about seven minutes or so. The driver handles the customer a small piece of paper where he writes down the parking location of your vehicle and you should keep that with you for when you return. The shuttles are not super fancy or anything like that but they are overall decent. In all three times I used there services, not even a minute passed by and the shuttle was already near my car ready to pick me up and take me to my terminal. Good parking place overall, I have used their services three times so far.Īnd overall I am satisfied, I paid through the app every time so when you come at the entrance you just need to scan a barcode and the gate opens where someone welcomes you and tells you where to park. Ruby and the team at FINE Parking have provided an amazing experience for traveling in and out of IAH and they are always my go to destination for airport parking! After the first time I parked there I just kept thinking why didn't I do this sooner? By far Ms. There is ZERO traffic leaving FINE Parking and you don't have to struggle or fight the airport traffic because the shuttles transport you out of the immediate airport environment AND, you have access to the main loop that connects to both of the main freeways and the Hardy Toll Road (if you like tolls). I was so accustomed to fighting the airport traffic leaving the terminal. I always thought to initially park in the terminal but, FINE Parking - IAH is located at JFK and Greens so, you literally drive straight to Beltway 8 from FINE Parking which connects you directly to US-59 and I-45. I haven't had a chance to try out the valet parking but, they also have that option as well. The entire parking lot is covered and it avoids confusion in pricing with uncovered or covered parking. Whether it's raining, or avoiding the Texas sun having a covered parking spot is amazing. I feel that the parking lot is secure when I park at IAH which is a major concern with the terminal garages. Ruby is the Operations Manager and is very attentive to her facility and keeps the operations seamless. Since then the experience parking at FINE - IAH is consistent, reliable, clean, safe and by far has the best location! The shuttles transport you directly from the terminal to your car in COVERED parking. I was driving by in need of a place to park when I spoke to Kim at FINE parking. I first came to FINE Parking - IAH after a terrible experience in the Terminal C parking garage at IAH.
